Before I start blogging about my Seoul trip I would like to thank Moodmakr for the free scoot tickets to Seoul. Moodmakr is a mobile app that understands the mood you’re in and give you stuff such as deals, experience and content to make your mood. For more information, please visit http://www.moodmakr.com . The application is available on App Store.
Not long ago I took part in a contest organized by Moodmakr and I won a pair of Scoot All-inclusive Seoul Tickets.
Due to its scoot inaugural flight to Seoul, on 12 June 2013, they are having a lucky-draw session at the boarding gate. A lucky winner will get the free upgrade to Business Class and a pair of air tickets to Seoul.
For one moment I thought I would be that lucky to win the grand prize, but the fact is the luck wasn’t with me that day. Still I should be contented for the free tickets to Seoul by Moodmakr.

July Post

Time past really fast, in the previous post i was mentioning about my upcoming Bangkok short get-away, and now i am back from the trip. The Bangkok’s post will be up really soon.

On the Tuesday, 24 July, we went to Kuishinbo after camp. It was so called an farewell party to Clement, as he will be leaving us to re-course BMT. Well all thanks to him i finally tried Kuishinbo, always wanted to try it but do not have the chance. Food was really good, especially the snow crab, they were so fresh and delicious its definitively worth the price. Though, each person paid approx $48 for weekday dinner and buffet spread wasn’t that attractive compared to other buffet restaurant, but is the quality that counts rather than the quantity right? With that i would like to wish Clement to have an enjoyable and memorable re-bmt. All the best brother.

On the Friday, 27 July, we went to Jurong Point to have “Lenas” to celebrate Aaron birthday. Personally i dun really like Lenas food, but since its Aaron birthday, its his call to decide what to eat. Total bill cost up to $240 for 11 pax. It’s not easy to be an organizer/planner especially when you client is a flicker minded person. Kept changing the date to celebrate. Went to Teo Heng NTU for K-session after dinner. Happy Birthday to Aaron : )

Just when i thought the hectic May is coming to an end, duties come in to the picture. I was assigned to do duty on the 8th June. It was so happen that James birthday celebration falls on the same day and i had promise him to attend his party. Did my best to convince the duty planner to re-scheduled the duties date and brought forward my duties from the 8th to 2th June. Gonna really thanks Chong Jie, the duty planner, i know he is under stress doing the duties schedule.

Since the past few weeks i didn’t get the chance to fully utilize my weekends. Last week due to the ATP, i went to Nee Soon Camp for the range and get back home at about 1am. While at least i got Marksman and didn’t waste my precious Saturday. Marksman entitlement – $200 cash and Marksman OFF.

This May is going to be a hectic month for me, activities like IMT, APT and IPPT happening concurrently within this two weeks. Apart from those activities, daily routine job scope has increase due to certain unforeseen incident. Can’t wait to finish all of them and go for my short get-away in July.

LONG WEEKEND

Its sad to say that today is my last day of my long weekend. I didn’t have such a long weekend ever since i enlisted on the 8 September last year. My long weekend starts on Thursday all the way til Sunday, first time taking OFF from my new unit. I used up all my OFF for this long weekend, the only two OFFs that i hardly earned for my good performance and annual auditing.

It feel so good just to slack at home waking up in the noon, watching shows, surfing the net and do whatever you like. This is what i called enjoying life. I booked my Bangkok trip in July within this long weekend. Can’t wait to fly and have my short get-away.

Finally! I was posted to 6R2 department, though this is my first choice but i still in dilemma, Things like did i make the right decision? Could the other department suits me better etc. Shall not ponder over such issue, and move on to serve my department.

I was forced to take leave on Friday, 2 March 2012 again, apart from the 3 days leave earlier on in SOA. I was left with only 5 days of leave for this year. Looks like my holiday plan are to be postpone to next year.

I didn’t waste my DAY OFF! I had a good sleep til early noon and went JB with my cousins for a satisfying Korean meal for lunch. It is my first time having such an authentic Korean meal. We then went to the mall nearby for a stroll and decided to watch an movie and have karaoke.

First we bought the tickets for the movie – THIS MEANS WAR and went to sing Karaoke for an hour. Didn’t get to fully utilize the full one hour as we need to rush over for our movie. The entire day was hectic yet fulfilling. Many things are done within the day itself.

After the movie we went to eat the abalone noodle and rush back to Singapore for the Titanic Exhibition. Luckily there was no traffic jam and we are able to reach Singapore fast. Rush down to Marina Bay Sand and bought the tickets and start of artistic journey with the history of titanic.

Guess what? I was so surprise and happy to see my Singapore Polytechnic Juniors working at the Titanic Exhibition. They gave each of us including my cousins a set of photos taken in the exhibition hall for free. I wouldn’t be cheap if we are to buy them.

End the day with a box of Royce Chocolate and Home Sweet Home. Love the hectic yet fulfilling day spend.

Posted to new camp (Joo Koon) area!

I will be reporting to the new camp at Joo Koon (i shall not revealed too much of the camp details) area tomorrow. I was kinda expected that i will be posted there since i am staying in the west. I actually wanted to stay at Bukit Timah Camp since i have got a straight bus there.

I was being forced to take 3 day block leave last week due to some last-min admin stuff they need to settled. If they deducted my 5 days block leave that was given to us after our POP, i only left with 6 days of annual leave. This will spoiled my holiday plans.

Due to the very last minute block leave, my whole life is screwed, didn’t know what to do with the 3 days, since most of my friends are either in camp or working. Stayed the whole day 1 at home doing nothing, basically i slept the whole day to recover whatever i had lost for the past few months.

Finally i couldn’t stand staying the whole day at home and ask Nicholas out for movie. We met in town and catch the movie “I Not Naughty”. The small boy inside the movie was so cute and hilarious, doing all sort of funny acts just to make sure he is a “good and sensible boy”.

3rd day i suddenly had the urge to bake some fruit tart. Baking fruit tart is definitely something new for me. I went online to search for the recipe and went to Phoon Huat to get the necessary baking stuff and start baking. I was quite satisfied with my baking this time.

Alright i shall stop here…

Taiwan Trip 2012

Yes i went to Taipei during my one week block leave after POP. This is my fourth time visiting Taiwan, and only six months apart from my last visit. This time round, went with my poly friends aka army mates. This trip is a little different from the last previous trip. I only did the booking of the air-tickets and accommodation and leave the itinerary to my fellow friends – yujian.

Some of the places he planned is somewhere i would not include in my own itinerary, such as the National Palace Museum and Taipei zoo. I had been to National Palace Museum few years back when i first visited Taiwan with tour group. Museum is never a place i would want to visit especially in overseas. Time is precious isn’t it?

We went for an outdoor hot spring at Xin BeiTou this time round, this is something new for me, i had never soaked an outdoor hot spring in Taiwan before. Walked around Xin BeiTou for quite some time to find the hot spring hotel that we had done research online. Hot spring is definitely something you must try when you visit Taiwan especially in winter period.

On the second day of the trip we went to visit our Taiwanese poly classmate near her university. She brought us around “Shida Night market” and bought us “Ru Wei” for dinner. To be frank, “ru wei” is something i will never try on my own. I agree that i am picky on food, especially food like animal internal organs if definitely a NO for me. After the dinner we went to some dessert stall and continue updating our current state.

This visit we went to their club, like FINALLY!!! All thanks to that Yujian that didn’t want to go the previous trip. Taiwan club is indeed more happening compared to Singapore club.

POP lo!

POP lo! I had been waiting for this day for 4 long months in BMT, finally i POP two weeks ago, somehow thought my life would be a lot better in the unit. End of BMT is the start of the brand new NS journey in the unit. Well i was posted to Rifle Range Road Camp 1 as a Sup Assit (Ammo). Indeed life is easier but there are negative side to it. I can’t mention too much here though.

I definitely gonna miss my bunk mates in BMTC. The brothers that we had been through hardship together, I will never forget any one of you guys. Now that we had parted to different unit, facing different difficulties on our own part. Pull it on and share with each other  when we have our meet-up.
